I can't wait to read Leaving Paradise and Perfect Chemistrey ( which comes out in '09). Simone Elkeles is the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of the Perfect Chemistry trilogy, all three of which have been YALSA-ALA Top Ten Quick Picks for Reluctant Young Readers, as well as Better Than Perfect.Simone was named Author of the Year by the Illinois Association of Teachers of English. In all, How To Ruin A Teenage Life makes for a funny and fast read. Even though I enjoyed this book I though it could be a little bit predictable at times. Though, in this Amy has a funny and trusting relationship with her dad that some teens may even envy. In most books you don't usually she most positive relationships with parents or some books barley mention them at all. (If you havent read anything by these authors, add them to your tbr list. Maas and Richelle Mead with the contemporary romance styles of Simone Elkeles and Katie McGarry. Her goal as an author is to merge the fantasy worlds of Sarah J. Another thing, I enjoyed about this book was the relationship Amy had with her Dad. Valerie Jo is a young-adult paranormal romance author. Also, I thought it was cool how Simone switched from how Amy's summer in Israel to her life in America which added new, awesome characters into the mix like the mysterious Nathan and Amy's hilarious BFF Jess. Amy view on how life should be perfect no matter what made for many awkward but laugh out loud moments. Though, in Simone Elkeles cause the sequel is even better than the first. Sequels to books aren't usually as great as the first book.
